I'm getting ready for the start of round 2 of the NHL playoffs.

The Pens are playing the Caps; tonight is game one. This is the first time in a while that I've felt confident that the Pens have a real chance at the Stanley Cup, and their real challenge starts tonight \o/

I LOVE HOCKEY PLAYOFFS!


In other news. I've decided to take a step back from the Sherlock fandom. The setlock pics I've seen are driving me nuts; I DO NOT WANT the Watson family hour. Way TOO MUCH TIME is being devoted to the baby and Mary and I know I'm going to hate season four. In addition, the US Sherlock con has basically been abandoned by SM and ME. They have lied to us for over a year now, and I'm done waiting.

I'm looking forward to my next con in June, WW Philly, to meet Tom Hiddleston. AND we're going on a road trip that Sunday to Awesome Con in DC to meet Peter Capaldi!!

Should be a great weekend.

I'm going to Shore Leave in July, Dragon Con and Chicago SG in Sept. DC added Jack Gleeson (Joffery from GOT) and Jason Isaacs!

I watched the first episode of The Night Manager with Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie. IT'S FANTASTIC. Can't wait to meet Tom!

Work is going extremely well. Still need some work on the house, but it's coming along nicely.

I've decided to not torture myself and not even watch season four of Sherlock. Like you, I don't need At Home with the Watsons with diaper changing and bottle feeding. What happened to this show that I loved so dearly? [sigh]

I nearly screamed when I saw Jason Isaacs added to DC! Argh! I'd love to meet him and tell him that Awake was the best show I've seen in the last 10 years.

Totally agree about The Night Manager! My hubby has never seen Tom in anything but Thor and he was like, "Wow this guy is good. I like him." :-) I keep hoping they'll add Tom to WW here in Chicago.

I know Jason from Awake (ITA, awesome show) but especially from Dig, which I LOVED.

I think if Tom likes the experience in Philly, it won't be difficult to get him to attend others :) I hope you get to meet him!

Man, I don't blame you for stepping back from Sherlock. I've got pretty much the same objections as you have. Big Frowny Face. So disappointed. I'm glad somebody has seen The Night Manager. I want to see it, but was a little unsure. I'm glad work is going well, and work on the house is also going well. We have have 3+ acres (I thought it was 5, seems like more!) and 2 houses to fix up. I am worried it's going to be too much for us, and we might not get the expected return on the investment. But for now, it keeps the Colonel busy and outta my hair 😁

I recommend The Night Manager. Only 2 episodes in and it's really good!

I'm planning to wait until all of season four of Sherlock airs, read all about it, and only watch it if Mary and baby are somehow written off the show. Otherwise, I'll just enjoy seasons 1-3 and the special ep.
