I'm really starting to hate this time of year. Last year, my sister in law's brother died on 12/26 after a 2 month illness. It was horrible.
Last night I found out that one of my cousins was admitted to hospice care. We were never even told she was ill; I saw her in October and she seemed fine.
There are 20 of us first cousins on my mom's side of the family; she always says that as long as our parents are around, we will always be "the kids", lol.
She is only 59 and is the oldest of the 20 of us, the ringleader, and we are all devastated.
It's going to be another horrible Christmas.
